I thought i would write this tutorial because most of the auto completer applications i have seen just dump the code into a zip and tell you how to use it rather than how and why it works, knowing about this enables you to customise it a lot more (this has been demonstrated with the other apps i have written here)!

hnGuestbook is a simple guestbook that uses a flat file to store the messages. That means that no SQL database is required. The guestbook uses AJAX technology, so you could view the pages, and sign the guestbook without reloading the whole page. Some of the features are a bad words filter, spam protection, and a simple admin panel to manage the messages.

The fabulous jQuery Coda-Slider, inspired by the promo site for Panic's nifty one-window web development software (which I've never used, but I hear is great). Panic apparently created their own slider from scratch, but I've used jQuery to achieve the same effect here.

lazierLoad automatically hooks itself to the page, finds all images and only loads those appearing “above the fold” resulting in faster page loads. The images not located in the viewport, are not loaded until they appear within it (viz. when the user scrolls down).
